John and Margaret established Belmore Biodynamic Meats in 1996 in response to the growing public demand for organic meat, and a personal desire to deliver a quality and environmentally friendly product to customers. It was one of the first recognised certified organic butchers in Victoria. To this day, Belmore Biodynamic Meats is a family owned and operated business, with John acting as head butcher, Margaret as head of customer service, and daughter Justine also part of the team.

We originally operated a successful retail store in Belmore rd, Balwyn but expanded and moved to our new address at 137 Miller St, Thornbury 3071. We only own and operate the Thornbury store to ensure consistent quality and personalised service for our retail customer base. We also supply select health and organic outlets as a means of distributing our product. Our trademark is your guarantee of the genuine article. We have established strong links with farmers over the course of our eleven year association and as such, we guarantee a premium product.
